Energy harvesting

These wave and tidal power plants produce energy from sea wave movements. They are installed under water for several years. The components used thus need to be permanently corrosion-proof and maintenance-free. As far as the bearings were concerned, tried-andtrusted iglidur® plastic bearings from igus®, which do not require any lubrication, were the obvious choice.
