drylin® linear shafts are available in different materials, sizes and can be supplied supported or unsupported. This enables a large range of environments and linear applications to be catered for.
As with all igus® products, the linear shafts are lubrication-free, water resistant and maintenance free.
You can choose between multiple iglidur® liner materials for high temperatures, FDA-compliance, chemical resistance and other technical advantages. The linear shafts are available in both metric and imperial sizes.
The benefits at a glance of the drylin® R range:
You can use the drylin® linear guides expert to quickly and easily configure an individual linear guide for your application in just five steps.
The carbon linear shaft is a lot lighter than linear shafts made of aluminium or stainless steel. The carbon shaft is used wherever weight needs to be reduced in design.
The X-ray transparency is another advantage of the carbon fibre. So the material is often used in medical or measurement technology.
A drylin® R linear shaft is exactly that, a metal shaft available in Aluminium, stainless steel, steel and carbon fibre.
These can be used in most environments when precise linear movement is required.
We have a large range of materials available and sizes to suit all applications. We can also custom machine shafts if required.
The drylin® R floating bearings offer great advantages in applications with parallel shafts. With their geometry, they are able to compensate for alignment and parallelism errors and should be used on the shaft located furthest from the drive mechanism.
