iglidur® AB | The first antibacterial iglidur® material

Components made of iglidur® AB help to reduce the germ load in bearing points that are difficult to access. iglidur® AB was specially developed for applications in areas with high hygiene requirements. Such applications often involve manually operated swivels (doors, medical furniture, etc.). The material reduces the germ load in the gap, but - like all "antibacterial" materials - is no substitute for appropriate hygiene measures.

Typical application areas

  • Medical technology
  • Laboratory technology
  • Ventilation systems
  • Sanitary furniture and equipment
  • Bearing points on patient and care furniture

When do I use it?

  • If the material has to fulfil high hygiene requirements
  • If you are looking for a universal material for manually operated applications
  • If you are looking for a material for low to medium loads

When do I not use it?

  • If a very wear-resistant material is required for continuous dry operation
  • If a material compliant with EU Regulation 10/2011 EC and/or in accordance with FDA requirements for repeated food contact is required
  • If a material with the highest universal media resistance is required
