A clevis joint is an element for achieving a moving connection with a spring-loaded fixing clip. They can be prevented from being disconnected by means of a pin and a locking washer. If a clevis joint made of plastic is combined with a rod end bearing, the result is a complete "knee joint". In some branches of industry, it is necessary to use metal detectors to find very small pieces of material when equipment is misused or breaks down. igus® therefore also supplies clevis joints made of detectable plastic materials which are specially suitable for the food industry, the packaging industry and the medical sector.
