drygear® strain wave gear
The drygear® strain wave gear RL-S-17-28 impresses with its particularly compact and lightweight design. Manufactured from high-performance motion plastics, it enables dry, lubrication-free operation, requires minimal maintenance, and provides a high reduction ratio of 28:1 in a single stage.
The strain wave gear also features integrated self-locking. This ensures that the position remains stable even when power is off, which is especially beneficial for safety-critical or energy-efficient applications.
The gearbox is optimally designed for connection to NEMA 17 stepper motors and allows easy integration into existing drive systems. Thanks to its low weight and compact design, the strain wave gear is particularly suited for dynamic robotics applications, such as lightweight robots, axis modules, or gripper systems.
In the standard version, the unit is supplied with an adapter plate for the direct mounting of grippers or attachments. Optionally, an INI kit for determining the zero position can be added to support precise referencing.
