iglidur® A160 | FDA and EU regulation-compliant for chemicals and food

iglidur® A160 is characterised by extreme media resistance at low costs. Tribologically optimised, the material can be used in temperatures up to +90°C and also has the conformities required in the food processing sector. The property profile is rounded off by the "optical detectability" often desired in the industry, i.e. the blue colour.

Typical application areas

  • Beverage industry
  • Food industry
  • Medical technology

When do I use it?

  • When a material with the highest media resistance in the normal temperature range is required
  • When a very cost-effective material with high media resistance is required
  • When a material compliant with 10/2011 EC is required

When do I not use it?

  • If you need a universal material for the food industry
  • If you are looking for a highly media-resistant material for use at temperatures above +90°C
  • If you need a low-cost material with high wear resistance in dry operation
