iglidur® i6000, 3D printing resin

Food-safe 3D printing resin for wear parts without PTFE: iglidur® i6000

The new iglidur i6000 triboresin has been specially developed for contact with food. For components in white or blue with a high surface finish (roughness Ra = 0.8 µm; Rz = 4.2 µm). The resin achieves these low roughness values straight out of the printer — without the need for time-consuming post-processing. This results in less residue on the surface and easier cleaning of the parts.

Ideal for a wide range of applications in the food, packaging, and pharmaceutical industries, as well as in laboratory automation.

Processing instructions: since skin contact with the liquid resin must be avoided, personal protective equipment is absolutely necessary during processing. For better processing, the bottle with the resin should be shaken well before use.

When to use it?

• If a food-safe resin is required
• If a PTFE-free material is needed
• When low wear rates are relevant

When not to use it?

• For the manufacturing of gears (→ iglidur i4000)
• For filigree parts that do not need to be food-safe (→ iglidur i2000 or iglidur i3000)
• For ductile components
