KG (Cologne) designed to assist students and lecturers in their projects. igus is a researcher, developer and producer of a vast range of motion plastics such as high-performance polymer-plain bearings and energy chain systems. University students complete innovative satellite docking simulator

A group of students at Southampton University showcased their innovative master’s project at the Southampton design show. Student Dominic Soltau and his team, supervised by researchers Dr Alex Wittig and Dr Sergio Araujo-Estrada, have created a Satellite Docking and Orbital Rendezvous Motion simulator (project STORM)

Cambridge students gear up for another season of electric boat innovation

The Riviera Racing team made significant strides in the 2025 season with their newly developed vessel, Aurora. Focused on creating a boat that was more robust, modular, and performance-driven, igus supplied lightweight, lubrication-free plain bearings in the rope-pulley steering system which enabled responsive handling while reducing weight.
