drygear® Gearbox application examples

In many applications, our drygear® gearboxes are the link between manual operation or a motor and a machine part that is to perform a planned movement. The gearbox helps to optimise, adapt and control mechanical movements and torques. Gearboxes are used to adapt the speed and torque of motors to the specific requirements of machines and processes.

Plastic gearboxes from igus® boast some outstanding specifications: ultra-light and durable thanks to motion plastic. Production by injection moulding or 3D printing guarantees cost efficiency and enables optimum use of the installation space thanks to unlimited geometrical freedom. The self-lubricating plastic requires no external lubrication or greasing and is therefore both dirt-resistant and hygienic.
Thanks to the flexible Apiro® modular gearbox system, the gearboxes can be expanded as required and integrated into existing systems.
