There are many environments and applications where robotic cleaning systems are used. Systems such as:
Using igus solutions, these are used to reduce maintenance cycles, help prevent contamination and improve service life. Not only that, with our bearing technology of high-performance polymers infused with sold lubricants, we eliminate the needs for oil, grease, any lubrication.
There are many different applications that can utilise robots. For example, in addition to positioning and pick and place, it is also possible to efficiently automate cleaning. Our robot systems are precise and of consistent quality. The high modularity based on the building block principle makes Low Cost Automation universally applicable.
Depending on the application, a customised solution can be assembled from the modular system and supplemented with other products. In addition to conventional or watertight igus® stepper motors, the robot joints can also be combined with other motors or pneumatic drives. Modular joint systems are not tied to a specific control system, therefore offers maximum freedom in the planning and implementation of automation processes.
Problem- SBS Ecoclean had a requirement for a cleaning robot which can operate within a installation space. Components are smeared with cutting oils so solution needed to be compatible for washdowns.
Solution- The robolink® DP robot carries a cleaning lance, which enables it to clean even narrow holes. The robolink® DP is equipped with motors and gearboxes suitable for splash water.
In order to automate simple process steps cost-effectively and relieve the burden on employees, sometimes complex and expensive technology is not required.
Problem- We needed an automation solution for a grinding process.
Solution- The polishing robot from igus® is easy to integrate and is characterised by manageable costs.
Modular robot system automates tedious manual work in large-scale production and scales production capacities
Automation can also be something for your own four walls. Especially in saltwater aquariums, good lighting contributes to algae colonising the panes within a few days.
Problem- To keep the aquarium looking good and presentable, the glass panes need to be cleaned every few days.
Solution- An igus flat linear robot with a simple clock direction control that triggers the cleaning process by means of an impulse.
Thanks to the compact design, the flat linear robot could be seamlessly integrated into the overall concept of the piece of furniture.
