The EU is currently planning to restrict PFAS chemicals, a group of substances that includes PTFE. Although it has not yet been fully clarified whether PTFE could be affected by a complete ban, many automotive manufacturers are already looking for alternatives to be on the safe side.
When it comes to bearing technology, we can help. For a wide range of applications, we already offer plain bearing materials that have been tested for harmful PFAS and do not contain PTFE.
Compared to metal bearings that are coated and lubricated with PTFE, our lubrication-free products are even more impressive.
