Rotary knobs with frictionless bearings
Rotary knobs on coffee machines can easily be realised with ball bearings. Simple and smooth adjustment is just as important here as the absolute freedom from lubrication and maintenance of the bearing. Corrosion-resistant products also prevent premature wear.

Beans transported lubrication-free
Gears are used to transport the coffee beans to the grinder. Lubrication-free components are particularly important in the direct vicinity of the coffee beans. But low wear and a long service life also play a role here.

Spout guided corrosion-free
Linear bearings are used in coffee machines, for example when lowering the spout to fill the coffee or when pulling out the machine head for maintenance purposes. Infinitely adjustable, maintenance- and lubrication-free and corrosion-resistant, they increase the service life of the machine.

Hygienic in the brewing unit
Coffee is made using a spindle that forces hot water through the coffee powder at high pressure. Contact with liquids means that the spindle and lead screw nut must be absolutely lubrication-free and hygienic. In addition, there must be no corrosion.

Powerful in the grinder
High forces are generated in the grinder when processing the beans into fine powder. The guidance of the grindstones enables plain bearings that are designed to withstand high forces. And contamination from coffee powder requires dirt resistance and freedom from lubrication.

Food-compliant in the brewing group
Components involved in the brewing process must comply with hygiene and food conformity standards. Bearings made of the special material iglidur® A181 are therefore FDA and EU10/2011 compliant.
