igubal® spherical balls

Each iglidur® material has its own special properties that determine suitability for your specific applications and requirements. We are currently offering spherical balls made from iglidur® W300 (standard), J, J4, R, RN248, UW, and X materials.
The spherical balls for metallic bearing housings are available in three materials for housing numbers 203 to 210.

Bearings with igubal® spherical balls are 80% lighter than their metal counterparts. But they are still comparably robust.
At the same time, they cost up to 40% less and are also more economical in operation. They permit dry operation without lubrication, which makes them maintenance-free.

When to use and when not to use... that is the question

When should I use them?

  • If you need maintenance-free material
  • When dimensional series E and K components should be fitted
  • If different iglidur® materials are to be tested
  • If high compressive strength is required
  • If high flexibility is required
  • Replacing ball bearings in metallic housings

When should I not use them?

  • If temperatures are higher than +250 °C
  • When dimensions above 50mm are required
  • If rotation speeds of more than 0.5m/s are to be achieved

Tolerance information

Maintenance-free igubal® spherical balls are designed with an inner diameter tolerance according to E10 and with a large bearing clearance in the standard product range, which enables a secure operation even under high peripheral speeds.
The shaft tolerance should be between h6 and h9. All values without tolerance are dealt with according to DIN ISO 2768-m.
