iglidur® AC500 plain bearing for the food industry

iglidur® AC500 is a further development of the material A500, which is detectable and has an optimised service life. Bearings made of AC500 are approved for direct contact with food. They have exceptionally good chemical resistance and are therefore suitable for the most difficult applications in the food industry. The use of cleaning agents is therefore no obstacle when using AC500 plain bearings.

We have developed iglidur® AC500 for this purpose​

AC500 was developed for the food and beverage industry. It can be exposed to high temperatures and is also extremely resistant to chemicals. This means that disinfecting and sterilising a system is no problem for the AC500 bearings. At the same time, the plain bearings deliver top performance with low friction and wear values. Its blue colour also makes the material easy to detect in use. AC500 plain bearings are ideal for use in beverage bottling plants, for example.
