Optimum sawing

This machine is used to split tree trunks. The saw can move vertically to enable the trunk to be brought into the required sawing position on the machine. Since the machine is used outdoors and exposed to a wide range of different weather conditions as well as sawdust and dirt, conventional bearings cannot be used for the saw‘s hinged mechanism. For this reason, the manufacturer chose lubricant- and maintenance-free plain bearings from igus®.
