New: Decentralized, cost effective copper/fiber optic couplers

Safe data transmission in an EMI polluted environment is a challenge.
igus® introduces the new industrial copper/fiber optic/copper coupler, which creates an optimal connection, using chainflex® cables. For almost all widely used fieldbus systems, as well as for Ethernet, USB and Firwire, the new igus coupler system meets the demand for safe data transmission. Thanks to the decentralized position of the coupler, users can cost-effectively route their common copper bus cable to the critical point and from there on safely transmit data through the EMI polluted area. The igus® coupler system does not require any knowledge about fiber optic cables or connectors, nor about the coupler itself. igus® supplies the complete system, built with performance- matched components.
