Jib cranes are an integral part of many industrial environments. They transport workpieces of all kinds to loading ramps, processing machines and assembly stations. However, failures can occur, for example, when energy and data cables that hang freely are damaged by a forklift during unloading operations. Such incidents can lead to downtime, unplanned repair costs, and production delays.
To increase system safety and productivity, igus® has developed the guidelok swing GLO.S cable carrier system. With guidelok swing GLO.S, energy and data cables no longer hang unprotected in the air; instead, they move safely within the jib crane’s girder contour.

Series E2.21

Series 1400
Yes. The guidelok swing GLO.S is designed to work with the vast majority of standard jib crane systems. Its compact, modular design allows it to be integrated into the crane’s existing girder contour without requiring major modifications. This makes it a flexible solution for both new installations and retrofits.
The guidelok swing GLO.S protects cables by routing them securely inside the jib crane’s girder contour instead of allowing them to hang freely. This prevents damage from external impacts, such as forklift traffic or workpiece handling and keeps cables supported along the entire travel path. The system ensures smooth, guided movement of energy and data lines, reducing strain and extending cable life.
