The igus® Environmental Management System (EMS)

At igus® we recognise that we have an impact on the environment through our products and business operations and we are committed to reducing our environmental impact by actively addressing our significant impacts. We have reviewed all our operations and activities and have identified those that have, or may have, a significant impact on the environment. To address these significant impacts, we have put in place a Management System which drives continual improvement in our business processes, products, and services and remains critical in enabling igus® to deliver a high-quality product and performance to our rapidly growing market and, to achieve our business goals.

The objective

The igus® Environmental Management System (EMS) is supported by our certification to the ISO 14001:2015 and it helps us enhance our environmental performance, manage our compliance obligations, and achieve environmental Objectives & Targets. Our Environmental Objectives focus on the reduction of resource consumption across igus®, particularly energy, the reduction of waste and the maximisation of waste recycling, the promotion of sustainable commuting options, the enhancement of employee competence and awareness, and the improvement of internal and external communications.

We take our responsibility towards the environment seriously and do our best to prevent pollution and minimise the environmental impact of our operations whilst supporting our vision to maximise business by delighting our customers with great new products and customer service.

The igus® Quality Management System (QMS)

Customer needs are of paramount importance and represent the highest priority within igus®. At igus®, we are committed to customer excellence, so much so that our customers determine our expectations, our business values, and our product and service requirements. Therefore, we strive to continuously identifying the current and future needs of our customers in order to not only be able to respond to our customers’ needs and requirements but also to improve their igus® experience and exceed their expectations.

To this end, we have established and implemented a Quality Management System (QMS), which is critical in enabling us to achieve our business goals and to consistently deliver high-quality products and superior performance to our rapidly growing market. Our Quality Management System (QMS) is supported by our certification to the ISO 9001:2015 and helps us implement a systematic approach to our Quality Objectives and Targets in order to drive continuous improvement.

Our Quality Objectives focus on enhancing the efficiency of our customer service and operations, eliminating nonconformities, enhancing employee competence and awareness, and improving our internal & external communication.
